Soundproof Apartments for Musicians Launch in Shinjuku, Instruments Can Be Played 24/7
Libran Company has launched two new concept apartment buildings, "Music Waseda," a soundproof rental-only apartment where tenants are allowed to play musical instruments 24 hours a day.
"Music Waseda" is a 6-minute walk from Waseda Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line and a 9-minute walk from Kagurazaka Station. The apartment building has 13 units in total and is built out of reinforced concrete. The building has six floors and apartment sizes range from 27.06 to 35.12 square meters. Available floor plans are 1K and 2K. Rents range from 124,000 ($1,136) to 177,500 ($1,627) yen. The completion of the building is scheduled for February 2020.
A similarly themed soundproof apartment name, "Amusement Asaka Honcho" is located a 5-minute walk from "Asaka" Station on the Tobu Tojo Line in Saitama prefecture. The building will have 30 units with 11 floors and is built out of steel-reinforced concrete. Apartment sizes range from 27.77 to 72.80 square meters. Six different floor plans are available in the 1K-2SK range. The apartments will rent between 99,000 ($915) to 192,000 yen ($1,760), with completion scheduled for March 2020.
