Malaysian Property Developer to Build Luxury Resort & Residence in Okinawa

Malaysian property developer, Berjaya Land, plans to launch the iconic Four Seasons Resort and Private Residence in Okinawa.

The luxury resort & residences will include a spa and villas, with construction beginning in June of this year. The developer acquired 100 acres of land by the beach back in 2009. The first phase of development scheduled to be completed in 2023 will cost an estimated 400 million USD.

Berjaya Land is also known for its Four Seasons Resort & Residence in Kyoto. A luxury residence in Japan’s former capital with rooms costing upwards of ¥268,000 ($2,460) per night. 

Berjaya Land’s founder Vincent Tan stated during an interview, “The Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences will be the most beautiful, valuable and expensive property in Okinawa.” With famous Japanese designers, Kengo Kuma (responsible for Tokyo’s New Olympic Stadium design) and Kuniken on board, its sure to be a project to look out for.
