Toyosu - Tokyo’s family-friendly urbanized neighborhood by the bay
Located in Koto-ku, near the Tokyo Bay and the Tsukiji fish market, Toyosu was once known for being a boat manufacturing area. However, land reclamation and other redevelopments starting from 2002 completely transformed the area to what it is known today, a highly modernized family-friendly neighborhood.
The streets are wide and open, filled with families and friends heading to Lalaport, the massive shopping complex, or to the bayside where a beautiful view of the Tokyo Bay awaits.
Having two railway lines, namely the Yurakucho Line and the Yurikamome Line, within walking distance makes this gorgeous neighborhood even more attractive. You can go to the business districts of Yurakucho (near Marunouchi) and Shiodome/Shinbashi within minutes.
